You don't go to Scotland and have Japanese food but I am so glad I did. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours were a delight. As a vegetarian I had so many options to choose from which was refreshing The haggis balls were a unique item and super tasty. I know I will be returning to Koku Shi when I come back to Scotland again.

Visiting from Canada with my family. We were warmly welcomed and treated to a fabulous meal. I had the pad Thai which was very tasty. My father had the ramen and said it was the best he’d ever had. Highly recommend.

Initially, I thought the service was a bit slow but then it was a busy Saturday night. The gyozas were extremely good and staved off some of my hanger. I got the seafood ramen... Unfortunately the noodles were very overcooked and soggy, however I'm still giving 5 stars because the staff got a fresh one out to me within 10 minutes and acknowledged the problem. The seafood was delicious and it was great to have a variety of vegetables in the dish. The waiter then even offered complimentary desserts which really changed the whole mood to a 5 star experience.

Delicious vegan options including panku tofu katsu curry, and their famous vegan haggis balls! Only gave atmosphere 4 stars as I think they should add the occasional J-pop Ballard to their great music selection.

The Food was Amazing!!! The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We even got a tutorial on how to use our chopsticks. Nice place. My entire family loved the place. Great place if you want to have some Japanese food. We really enjoyed our time there.

Sunday lunch, quiet for a Sunday, nice little restaurant, but personally I loved the sushi, and the sushi deserts, they were excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Starter, main, desert and one drink was c,26 per person. Felt it was well worth the money.

Gorgeous atmosphere and really high-quality food. First time I've been there and ordered the chicken rammen. The chicken slices on top of the aromatic broth were tender and perfectly cooked. I fished out an asparagus spear cooked aldente.. the half egg on top also perfect. It was prepared so well that I savoured every item...the mushroom, pieces of seaweed, the noodles.. and of course the broth... yum yum yum... topped with chilli sesame oil for the perfect amount of heat. Loved it. Will take others there next. The staff were friendly too!
